What a lovely bed! We have slept on it for the past few nights now, and it seems to be sturdy and of good quality. It holds our Avocado mattress and topper nicely, no box spring needed. Was looking for a basic, attractive platform bed for a new king size mattress we purchased. This fit the bill perfectly. Pretty straightforward to assemble, though I did use my cordless driver with a hex bit to speed things up. But the included allen wrench worked fine. Pay attention to where the washers go so you don't have to reassemble things more than once! It is solid wood, very sturdy. The bed itself is beautiful and looks great in my guest bedroom—it feels solid and well-made, which is the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars. Unfortunately, everything else went downhill from there. As is often the case with Wayfair, the item arrived damaged. The wood had visible dings, screws were missing, and the shipment came in two boxes delivered on separate days, which delayed assembly.
