The fountain took a long time for delivery and when it came the pump was missing . Also the fountain had a lot of shading , therefore not looking like the picture above . For the price , it was rather deceiving. We received the pump later but asked to exchange the fountain . The exchange went smoothly and the new fountain looks better but still with some less apparent shading . We ordered early dec /19 and finally got the replacement fountain working end of jan..... I wired the lights into my existing low voltage patio lights for convenience as it comes with separate cords for the pump and lights. It is suggested that this fountain top is not left outside in the winter. Once the top fills with water and snow and freezes, the top may crack. All fountain bases should be raised off the ground in winter so they will not freeze to the ground surface. Ideally, a fountain should be stored indoors in the winter away from the elements. However, if a fountain bowl must be left outside, remove all pumps, rubber stoppers, drain pipes, finials, and small components, cover the top with burlap or any absorbent material, and then wrapped with dark plastic, making sure that water does not accumulate in the basin and freeze. Fountain pumps, finials, and other small components should be stored indoors. Check the fountain periodically to ensure that the cover is secure and water is not accumulating in any fountain component.
