We are very happy with the style and design of this gazebo. It did take 4 people about 6 hours to put it together bc there are so many pieces specifically the roof, but it does seem very sturdy. Attractive and so-far sturdy. Only issue I have is with the assembly instructions specifically regarding the curtains and bug screens. They guide us not clear regarding proper placement of them. I am certain they are not installed properly but there is only so many times that I will put up and take down the panels before I surrender. The illustrations do not jive with the instructions. I’ve had this for around 3 weeks now. The only reason I am giving it four stars instead of five is I thought the frame was going to be black instead of brown in color so I don’t think the brown looks good with the gray top but overall it is very sturdy and well may but it was hard for one person to put together so it took three people to put it together and about three hours I would say. It works great for any time of year and we have really enjoyed it this summer so far because it has kept the bugs out and and have used the fire pit under it and been able to sit out in the evenings and enjoy it.. I love my gazebo. I purchased this to replace a soft canopy gazebo that I used for a few years. I researched gazebos for months before finally purchasing this one. I intended on purchasing one with a metal top because I wanted to ensure that it would last for years to come and most importantly I didn't want it to leak when it rained. At the last minute I started to reconsider a polycarbonate roof because the metal options, like my black covered soft top gazebo would not allow light in, so would be darker during the day. I decided that while I enjoyed the protection from the sun, it would still be nice to have some light. Normally, I regret last minute changes...but not this time. I ended up with the best of both worlds! This gazebo does not leak (and it has withstood rain and snow). It blocks the UV rays but still allows light in during the day, and is not pitch black at night when using the gazebo. A metal roof would be completely dark at night, mine allows moonlight in, which makes it functional without extra lighting (and a bit romantic) at night. The only thing that would make it better are things that are unreasonable like having a self cleaning roof or actually being a screened in porch, lol! Have it up for the second season. Good quality but should be made stronger where poles are attached. Had to put gorilla tape over the tares. update - this past summer it tore so much it has to be replaced. Someone should design these with stronger fabric. Update july 2024. We like this patio gazebo. We assembled it in 2-1/2 hours. It took 2 people but one could accomplish it alone. The step by step instructions were great! We were able to assemble it with the wrench included in the kit, but a drill would have been a welcome tool. The screw packaging had deteriorated so they were all mixed up. Having the screws presorted would have made the process quicker. The first half of assembly took the longest, but steps 7-13 were super quick and easy. It was worth all the effort. This is a very nice tent! Not quite as elegant as shown in the photos, but if you spend a lot of time lining up all the seams and securing the velcro ties, you can get pretty close. I got this to bring to eventsgatherings where there will be food served or not enough shade. It’s going to be perfect! I can’t wait to try it with string lights. ) The bag is about 41 lbs, but the long straps make it easy(ish) to pack around. The assembly was tricky, and the instructions were vague (at best). When laying the top over, the instructions do not tell you to loop the open hole through the pop-up arms, but you definitely have to. I decided to “trust the process”, but soon realized that was absolutely necessary. So I ended up breaking it down a bit, making the adjustments and then finished the setup. One more note (complaint) but you really do need a second set of hands to extend the tent, or else it moves in inches. Preferably someone with muscle because clicking the side posts took a lot of core strength I do not have. Also, you need to stake it or a slight wind might knock it over. This canopy seemed like it was about a quarter inch too small and all the dimensions. Additionally the top section of the canopy ripped in a corner when I tried to pull it from the other side because it was so tight. I was able to squeeze the main canopy on the pergola base, but i couldn't get the long metal bars to squeeze into the two pockets on the short sides. I tried again the next day to pull the canvas over the side metal bars and I was successful after the fabric had stretched itself for a day, but the fabric is now straining in some places. While this will work, it takes some hand strength and patience, And maybe one busted corner.
