This bed is very high-quality and is definitely different in assembly than any piece of furniture I have ever done. There aren’t a whole lot of screws and bolts to utilize, but everything fits together very tightly and securely. Everything on this bed is solid wood, so it is very heavy. We’ve actually purchased this bed frame twice this year! We first bought the queen size for ourselves and were very happy with it. A couple of months later, we decided to upgrade to a king-size bed, so we gave the queen frame to our son and purchased the exact same bed frame again in king size. We love the quality. It’s made from solid wood, feels sturdy and well-made. It works with our new 16-inch-high mattress and adjustable base, although the headboard does look a little short with such a tall mattress and base. The corner joints slot together smoothly without forced hammering. Really easy to put the joints together. The bed is really pretty, sturdy, solid wood, but it’s a few things that prevent me from giving 5 stars. No instructions, took some time to find them online. The headfootboardsside rails don’t perfectly line up, which bothers the perfectionist in me. Not enough screws included to screw in both sides of each slat, had to do every other.
