First of all I love it! I could not believe though that the shelves were not made of clear glass so the lights illuminate both the top and bottom. This media console is just the perfect addition to my living room. I chose the whitebrown so it goes with everything including the kitchen table that I got in the same colors. I had somebody put it together for me and it took him about an hour and a half. Even though the fire is artificial, it casts a nice warming, comforting glow and has sounds to go with it.
