Torn on this piece! I do like the real wood (it even smells like real wood) - and upon assembly it looks exactly like the product photo - which was the design that I wanted & preferred over other TV stand units. I did take a 'risk' on a product with no previous reviews, based on the general positive feedback of the vendor. To that point I will say the following: I have built numerous furniture items and do not attribute these complaints to "user error." Some connecting points between pieces were improperly aligned; the legs of the base would come together, but in such a way that there was not enough clearance between the bolt & the wood surface to screw/fit the nut onto the bolt. Additionally, some of the holes were not drilled deep enough to fit the screws into (see bottom screw hole of attached photo - filled in with wood) so the screws had to be forced through the wood. There was one case where the screw hole, fresh out of the box prior to any assembly, had already caused splintering into the exterior wall of the connecting joint (photo also attached). This looks good, not cheap particle board. However, I can't give 5 stars because it is so cheaply made. I don't think it's obvious unless you've assembled it. The metal is so thin- two pieces were warped from shipping . The wood is super lightweight pine. You can carve in it with a fingernail. There are already several scuffs on it before assembly. The instructions are poor. We had to take apart and put back together several times because key details were not included. Also, it shows the last step is installing glass doors, but that's impossible to do with the top piece on so I had to take it off to put doors on. There drawer has no rail or fittings , so it doesn't close all the way. In all it's better than mdf , but not worth the $ and I have serious doubts it will hold up long without scratches .. Milo. We love this tv cabinet. It wasn't that hard to put together as some other customers have mentioned. We did find a few places when putting on the top, the dowls would not line up with the holes so we had skip using them. The color of the cabinet is a bit darker than the picture, but I know all pieces are unique in color. There were 4 places we had scratches and 1 chip, but instead of sending it back or requesting new pieces, WF adjusted the price for us and made it right. Overall, this is a cool piece of furniture and looks great in our living room up against our WF washable area rug. Upon opening, I was pleasantly surprised to see this farmhouse TV stand has a nice distressed look to it, and that the window doors are glass! It looks high end, but doesn’t necessarily function high end. It’s obvious aesthetics was the goal with this one. Meaning the door is one door that looks like two, and the top drawer doesn’t pull out but slides up. The single door without glass is soft close. Very clever features that still function well. It looks extra without the extra. Everything functions as it should, and is just the right size, with plenty storage. This is a nice piece of furniture. Perfect for a person on a budget and wants “wood”. It’s not high end wood and uses laminated pieces to look “thick” but it works and has a very simplistic rustic look and feel. Because it’s pine (or similar) it’s light but sturdy.
