This was packaged very well. It looks good, the glass has no chips or cracks. The metal pieces have no scratches. My only negative is the wood piece. It is so polished it looks fake. This shade was a great replacement for the old, yellow one that broke. It features a soft, bright matte white finish. Although it comes with a cap equipped with two holes for pull chains, only the center chain is functional because the opening is too narrow to use the fan chain—at least for my model of fan. I thought the black shades had yellow metal inside, but they are fully black. This actually turned to advantage as they reflect any color light bulb you put inside.
