Just was installed today by my home care specialist, it took him 30 minutes to install it I already had a light fixture in the ceiling space . its quiet fast cooling , no noise at all ! remote control offers variety 3 or more of light settings. Yes the light can be turned off with fan still spinning cooling room ! I got 40 inch size blades because my ceiling has a bit of an angular shape . So it fits well , n looks great . A great modern update for my bedroom that I remodeled to replace the old early 2000s model I had. It’s much more quiet and glides through the air. I keep it set to 6 which is the highest speed. It’s was about 40 minutes to get it assembled and installed. The instruction video made things super easy, but the printed instructions were good too. My only issue is that it does not have memory. So if power gets switched off, it will not save your last setting (including blade direction) and you must use the remote to power it on.
