The Moen digital shower controller is a nice upgrade. We needed a controller on the opposite side of the shower from the shower head, so the water could be turned on without entering the shower. The locksmith came to install the lock and we discovered that two of the four batteries that came with the unit were dead. I called Wayfair's great customer service folks, who are sending out four fresh batteries. Normally this would not be an issue but I have never seen these batteries before. They are CR 123A 3V lithium batteries. In researching these, the internet says the batteries should have a 10-year shelf life, I don't know why they would be dead. The lock seems sturdy and very well made. I have three other keypad locks that take AA batteries and I am constantly replacing them. When I get power on the lock I will update my review.. Brenda.
