Very quiet On low speed the noise is 42 DB medium 46 and high 55. Also on the app you have the mute option which bring to noise down to 38 on low speed you almost do not hear it. We werent actually looking for a new air conditioner until this popped up here on Wayfair.. What caught my attention was a feature that weve never had before, appwifi! The Wi-Fi feature for this air conditioner is a game changer for us. We downloaded the app on our phones and we were up and running in minutes. We got this for our daughters room and she loves the fact that she can turn on the air conditioner remotely. I happen to love the visual display on the front, its illuminated at night and just adds to the tech feel of this air conditioner. It is surprisingly quiet. Our daughters room is a medium size room and the air conditioner about blew her right out ..the cool air that this thing puts out is amazing. My favorite part is the remote control, I like the real-time digital display and the fact that its not so tiny that it wont get lost is a plus ! We purchased this here on Wayfair during one of Wayfairs many sales, the price was right the shipping was fast and free. My mother has recently moved in and she is a lot cooler natured than we are so we turn the central air conditioner higher to not freeze her out, which was leaving us not as cool as we like, especially to sleep. But this bad boy has really helped keep our bedroom cooler!! Perfect for a smaller home, office or an apartment. It’s quiet enough to sleep with it on as it’s such a great white noise to sleep with! It has all of the expected features controlled on the base or with the remote. It has an Econo function which is really nice so it can be used during the day to keep the room cool but it doesn’t kick on as often to save energy. It has a washable, reusable filter that is built into the side (pictured), three cooling levels, fan mode, smart connection capability so it can be connected to WiFi and easily used with Alexa or Google Assistant. There is some installation, but it’s pretty straightforward. Had our windows not been built wrong it would have been pretty quick installation, but of course we had a little more installation time because of this. However it worked out fine with some longer screws. This is my first window unit and I wasn’t sure real sure about the accordion style window sliders being enough to keep the outside hot air out….but it comes with a thick strip of insulation to place around any cracks and a thin strip of sticky insulation that you can stick around any tiny gaps and seal them off really good. We use this as a check in desk for our little MCM neighborhood pool. It has been great for us and our members have really loved it.
