If there is a catastrophic failure, like a burst pipe or someone leaves the water running, you will be alerted in the App allowing you to shut the water off remotely—no matter where you are. If you fail to respond to the alert or are on vacation, the device can be set to automatically shut off water to help limit damage and loss.

I have just had one trial run with this machine to make sure it was running smoothly and I was very impressed. I have a GIANT headboard and with my mattress and boxspring the outlet behind my bed is really hard to get to.
