I purchased the Vornado Portal Low Profile Window Fan for our nearly 200-year-old farmhouse, which does not have central air conditioning, and it has made a noticeable difference in keeping the house comfortable. The low-profile design fits nicely in the window without being bulky or obstructing the view. It was easy to install, and the controls are straightforward to use.
