The chair seats are very comfortable as is and even more so with cushions -- the seats accommodate my existing cushions. The chair backs are a bit more upright than I had hoped, but they will be perfect for dining. If you are seeking chairs for reading / lounging, you might want something with a bit more slant or recline to the back. It includes a table and four chairs, all made from eucalyptus, which is a naturally resilient wood (we just recommend treating it annually). The chairs all have matching molded seats set on flared, tapered dowel legs for an iconic, mid-century-inspired look. The table has a rounded surface set on four legs. The table with a slatted design that lets water drip right through it. Plus, the table has an umbrella hole, so you can easily add a little extra shade.

These beautiful chairs (in Vintage Tekwood) arrived carefully packaged and fully assembled. (The large carton is on the heavy side.) They chairs are light weight and stack easily, but they are very sturdily constructed. The chair seats are very comfortable as is and even more so with cushions -- the seats accommodate my existing cushions. The chair backs are a bit more upright than I had hoped, but they will be perfect for dining. If you are seeking chairs for reading / lounging, you might want something with a bit more slant or recline to the back. I also bought the 47" dining table (in Vintage Tekwood) to go with these chairs. The set was scheduled to be delivered on Monday, but arrived on Friday. I am a very happy customer.
