Replaced 2 8 foot flourescent garage ceiling mount lights. Not user friendly with respect to mounting on ceiling where existing wiring penetrates. Unfortunately, these lights don’t work in my house. They are made for new construction and in order to make them work in an older house. You have to retrofit the light fixture, which would cost more money than it’s worth. They are not made to go right into an existing light fixture. You will need to order the springs from the company for them to work unless you have newer construction they won’t work. That being said, they seem like good quality. Found the perfect installation product! I was looking to make an old fixture smart automated and this SkyPlug canopy kit allowed me do just that. The company has a SkyHome app that controls my light and best part was how easy it was to install the plug and canopy onto my fixture. After installing the outlet and plugging in my Eurofase fixture I realized how dirty the glass was. The Skyplug allowed me the ease of unplugging and cleaning my glass fixture on the ground and then quickly plugging it back into the ceiling. Where has this amazing invention been? You can use it with almost any hanging light! I think I might just install these in the whole house. These seem to be great lights to replace some of our existing can lights with. They can connect with an app that I’m really excited to test out and see how interactive they are. This was a breeze to apply. Simply shook the container to mix the contents and then applied with a paint roller. Avoided work during direct sunlight hours. Re-applied until the container was empty. When the first rain came I noticed the water bead up and roll off of the driveway as expected. I will probably do this yearly to maintain the concrete. Best price I could find also.. Earl. Honestly I haven’t had the chance to install this yet but I have several friends that have used these before and it didn’t seem to be difficult.
