You have an on and off switch and you also have three different light settings. If your light is on in your closet and you walk in the sensor will not go off, which is nice. Exactly what I needed. There were 2 light bars in the package. They work exactly as described. Simple to install: 2 double sided tapes included. Stick the tape(s) to the back of the bar, then press against the surface where you want to position the light. There is a switch with 3 positions on the end of the light: off, on and sensor. I put mine in a linen closet and it provides me with the light I need when loading and unloading items. These lights were perfect for the space. One for an under cabinet open space I use to keep bread, etc. the other was on top of a very large cabinet that absorbed light especially at night. I dimmed it and put it on an automatic push button switch to make the room have a gentle light in a dark area.
