The traditional Japanese floor mat is used in a variety of ways in tea offerings. The position determines how a guest walks through the tea room and determines the various seating positions. Also included is a lump of royal tribute Pu’er tea made during the Guangxu Emperor’s time in the late 1800s. It was collected in Forbidden City and taken to the Pu’er City Museum.
