I used 2x6x12 also across the rear door to make it far less likely for a breakin the front is visible to me. I added two tire racks on the back wall for my winter-summer tires. I also added LED lighting inside and a security camera. Snow just rolls off.......not even a slight concern. I needed this carport to use as an outdoor workspace for upcoming renovations. Its the next best thing to a garage. I do recommend installing the roof canopy after the roof frame has been assembled. Assembling the roof canopy after the frame was fully erected proved to be cumbersome. Highly recommend using a four-step ladder or 6 ft ladder. I was able to assemble alone.
