The instruction booklet was very basic and it was pretty confusing to set the time and correspond the feeding times. I spent a good 20 minutes stressing out how to set up 3 feedings, and still wasn't sure it was correct. If pesky ants or other crawling insects are a problem, our ant moat is a must. Simply fill the moat with water, hang above the feeder with included hooks, and the ants will not be able to reach the feeder base with its sweet nectar.
