It works for holding single LP's. It is roomy enough inside the frame to hold an album with a sleeve and the magnet used to keep the lid on seems strong enough, but it isn't super strong so you need to make sure nothing is caught while closing the frame. See my picture of it holding an old album that had an album sleeve. The only downside is that the wood used is a little soft and could dent easily, and the acrylic could scratch easily.. Herman.
