I’ve been through at least 5 different door locks and not one of them has held up like this one has. Installation was easy and quick, mostly because I’ve done this a few times already. The reason for 4 stars is because sometimes my fingerprint doesn’t work. I then have to type in the passcode when I was to lock and unlock the door. I also wish it came with 2 keys instead of one but that’s not a deal breaker. I don’t really use the app, but it’s there if I need it. I got the Bluetooth and WiFi one. I love it, I don’t have to worry about keys or trying to remember if the door is locked. Also, through the app, it tells me when the door opens, closes, remains open, and who opened it. Not super hard to set up, but the instructions aren’t that clear either. The lock was the easiest. The handle, a little harder because I needed to add an extra hole to the door (Using a drill). I'm really enjoying this so far. I've got it working with SmartThings which means it's working (okay) with Google Home. All five of my RF fans work with this device. I would say signal is sent to those devices correctly 95% of the time. I have found that if I accidentally misclick, it is better if I count to 10 before making the correct choice. Is it perfect? No. But it is extremely helpful. These are things I was ready for, but some other buyers might not be ready for. This is an RF controlling device. While it makes some devices a little easier to use it does not make those devices "smart". If you have someone who likes to use the remotes a lot, the app will show incorrect settings for those devices that have changed with the remote. This does not bug me, but for someone who is not ready for that, make sure you understand what this device is first. I highly recommend Bond. This is an affordable way to use what you already have. Less devices in the landfill for replacements, and a pretty great way to control my devices from my phone. If I was rating this on the hardware alone, I would give it 5 stars. If I had to rate just the installation instructions and tech support, it would get 2. But since once it's installed it's only the hardware that counts, I'm giving it a 4. The trickiest part of the install is using the template they give you, since it determines where the holes are drilled and getting everything to line-up. Unfortunately the instructions are just plain wrong on this, since they tell you to align the lowest horizontal line on the template with the 'notch' on the bracket (this makes more sense when you're actually doing it.) But looking at the template, it becomes apparent that those two things can't possibly line-up. And to add to the frustration, there's a 10 minutes video provided that shows the step-by-step assembly. However, when they get to drilling the holes, the template is already attached to the gate-- they completely skip-over how to position it! Another frustrating aspect is that when following the instructions, they differ depending upon whether you have a left- or right-hinged gate. But they never explain how that's determined. I even phoned for tech support when I ran into issues with the template and asked "Is it considered left-hinged if the hinges are on the left when the gate is opening towards you?" The tech support guy said "It doesn't matter whether it opens towards you or away from you-- it's whether you're inside or outside the fence." (The correct answer is that it's the side the hinges are on when you're facing the gate and it's opening towards you.) Overall I like this lock very much. We keep our gate locked since our dog is not stranger-friendly, and delivery people were always trying to use the gate. But if we didn't have the keys with us, we couldn't get through either. I also like that the isn't powered (no wiring to run or batteries to wear out), and the fact that the order you press the keys in doesn't matter is good, since we can, for instance, use the same code as our alarm panel (once less code to remember) but give someone else the code numbers in a different order, so they can open the gate, but not disarm the alarm with that code..
