It's really well designed, with a comfortable big handle, to easily scoop out hard-frozen ice cream. My only concern was the description on the website indicated that it was made of stainless steel and was not dishwasher safe. But my concern was put to rest when I read the card that was attached to the scoop, which indicated that it was actually made of a chrome plated alloy and WAS dishwasher safe.. James.
