This dependable and durable 1.5x12-inch thin blade spurtle is a culinary workhorse crafted from Italian-sourced olive wood. Its distinct and attractive appearance not only adds charm to your kitchen but also ensures a safe tool for use with non-stick cookware. This versatile spurtle is designed for stirring, mixing, and whisking, with its slim width making it perfect for tasks such as stirring oatmeal, mixing batters, flipping eggs, and whisking sauces.
The slight curve and tapered tip of the spurtle make it an ideal companion for flipping crepes and spreading icing with precision. We take pride in responsibly sourcing Italian olive wood, contributing to the conservation of this exquisite natural resource known for its unique grain patterns, warm tones, and smooth texture.
For maintenance, hand wash with mild soap and water, ensuring thorough drying after each use. Keep the olive wood handle conditioned by periodically applying a small amount of mineral oil using a lint-free cloth.
Originating in 15th-century Scotland, spurtles have become a staple in the American kitchen. Our thin-blade spurtle continues to adapt to the needs of today's cooks, offering a unique and valuable addition to any kitchen.
