My only concern was the description on the website indicated that it was made of stainless steel and was not dishwasher safe. Wide rim with silicone gasket to seal the canister. Can be used for storing Coffee, tea, sugar, flour, and other dry foods. Not recommended for liquids. Stainless Steel canisters are dishwasher safe, hand wash and dry immediately recommended to keep shine. The lid with seal is not dishwasher safe as the silicone gasket may deform with heat.
