My 20-year old shower was leaking out the shower head even after replacing the mixer cap (rotating valve). Then I bought this, the pressure balancing unit (PBU) and after replacing both, there are no leaks and it works better than new. Kohler will say that this PBU is not the solution to a leaky shower head, but it was for me. Watch the Kohler installation video and buy both this PBU and the temperature regulator and you will be good as new. The parts change out quickly and easily with simple tools. Water pressure is fantastic. The rain shower can be tilted which is great for someone short. The handheld being able to be moved gives you more control on where the water hits you. Love this fixture! We purchased in the brushed nickel finish, and as you can see, it does develop water spots. This pic shows how this looks when I don’t polish it with a soft microfiber cloth. That being said, it’s spectacular! My partner loves the push button shower aspect, and I love the sleek and modern look. To switch back from shower to tub, you have to turn the water off for the button to pop back out. Not a big deal to me. Be aware you have to buy the actual mixing valve separately. We’re about to move, and into another reno type house. My partner wants the same fixture in our next master shower... so it’s safe to say we’re very pleased!
