The locksmith came to install the lock and we discovered that two of the four batteries that came with the unit were dead. I called Wayfair's great customer service folks, who are sending out four fresh batteries. Normally this would not be an issue but I have never seen these batteries before. They are CR 123A 3V lithium batteries. In researching these, the internet says the batteries should have a 10-year shelf life, I don't know why they would be dead. The lock seems sturdy and very well made. I have three other keypad locks that take AA batteries and I am constantly replacing them. When I get power on the lock I will update my review.. Brenda. They are so cool!! I wanted something playful and whimsical in the faves room. I put my climbing men on the wall and wow! What a statement! I love them so much! They are so fun and a great little expected feature in my games room. It’s where we do family games, play poker with the neighbors or a holiday get together. Everyone who comes over are drawn to the little climbers and they all get a kick out of them. Just like I did the first time I saw them!
