Nearly 5 year update... I still LOVE LOVE LOVE this range! The wifi feature allows me to start the oven while on my way home from the grocery store, cook baked potatoes left inside it or preheat from the hammock in the backyard. I don't love the air fry feature, I still use a different one. I bought a newer version of this range than a friend had and recommended and am so glad I did. This is my first ever stove top purchase because the ones I've gotten when I've bought a house have been durable. I don't do a lot of cooking so I can't speak to how well it does when cooking x number of meals a day, week, month etc but I can say that I love this stove. We've been GE appliance users for 30+ years and always been satisfied. Our last GE stove had a smooth ceramic cooktop which cleaned easily, never scratched, and looked as good when we moved as it did when we first bought it. Jump ahead to the present, when we bought all new stainless GE appliances for our new home...and I HATE the cooktop! Within nine months there are significant scratches and what seem to be permanent stains, despite taking all the required precautions, having the appropriate cook wear, and using the recommended/provided cleanser and cleaning procedures. I don't know how the quality of the cooktop materials could have changed so much in the course of a few years, but I'm very unhappy with the current version. An appliance designed with such a fragile work surface doesn't make sense for a functioning family kitchen. While the stove as a whole works *relatively* well (the oven doesn't always produce a consistent heat), I would not recommend it.. Careann. Fri Jan 16 2026
