I have been eyeing Hestan for a year or more. I know it’s pricey. But for me I am almost 40. My husband and I have been married for over a year and our current pot and pan situation is a mix from our college days and donations from various family members trying to rid of their old pots and pan. You know how that goes. So I have been doing investigations on the best pans in the market. Making my various pro and con lists. I was considering scan pan. But with Hestan. Yes it’s a lot. But I won’t be replacing them in 5-10 years from now. They are meant to last. Per all the reviews. I know I want pan that I put in the dishwasher and don’t have to worry about it being injured from my amateur cooking skills. I love the feel of the pan. The handle all of that. When I picked up the all clads in the store they are too like straight or not like ergonomic for my petite frame. I want to eventually get the whole set of pans. But since we were moving. And my husbands old saucepan had been beaten up and the non stick wearing off. I was like ok time to try the 1.5 qt. I had a wayfair coupon and wedding money to spend. On something that is essential to my kitchen. It has cleaned up beautifully in the dishwasher. I only wash the lid by hand since that isn’t nanobond. The saucepan. Had little water marks coming out of the dishwasher which I don’t mind but they do have a polish they sell if you are displaying your pots. I heated up some brown sugar and butter. Which turned out great. Only tip I got from Hestan when I called about the different pans. Was it you have an electric stove with coils. This is my second attempt at buying/using an ice maker. The first time I never worked and that’s bc it was a very poorly ventilated mobile home in Florida and the heat was too much. Now, I’m in a ‘regular’ home and thought I’d give it another’s try with this model and low and behold, this thing cranks out the ice non-stop and you don’t need to stand their while it’s doing it but it helps bc you do want to put the ice in your freezer - I used a metal mixing bowl and filled it to the top in mere minutes. It’s very easy to use, just pour water in, plug it in and about 9 cubes every 6 minutes as it states is true. I’m very pleased and I would whole-heartedly recommend this product fully.. Dean. A very good range/stove that we have used for the last year. It has a few idiosyncrasies to which we have become accustomed. The clock is ridiculously hard to set. We have to look it up every time the time/date changes. There is no automated option. No smart connection for this unit at all, which is a plus and a minus. The power is insanely good. It can boil water so fast. The oven is very even. The unit feels solid. Placing a pot on an unused hob will result in a clicking noise that happens every few seconds. At first this drove me nuts, but now it's fine. The induction is fairly loud, especially when placed at a high level. The stainless steel scratches fairly easily. At first this was annoying, but now it's a kind of patina. This thing gets some serious use daily and I'm okay with it. Delivery was uneventful. I love my Nanobond 3.5qt essential pan; it cooks like a dream. That said, I think even this size pan would’ve benefited from a helper handle. It single handily was my sous-chef for prepping and making Thanksgiving dinner, along with many other meals. Its multiple settings include slow cook like a standard crock pot, sauté/sear which I found myself using mostly, rice cooker, sous vide, meal timer/manual function which is also helpful. I’ve made couscous, rice and multiple chicken dinners, seared veggies, made stock and kept my mashed potatoes warm while I finished Thanksgiving dinner. This machine has a lot of power and functionality while looking quite professional and high end. My only complaint is the size/weight of it, with all that power and functions come parts to hoist and overall it’s a bit large for simply keeping out on my counter so I keep it tucked away. Without having proper space for this machine I can see it being hard to keep around, luckily I have the room.
