Assembly definitely took longer than expected, and there were moments where patience—and maybe a strong beverage—became part of the toolkit. That said… once it finally came together It’s actually a beautiful, sturdy piece. The warm wood tone is rich in person, the drop-leaf function is perfect for smaller spaces, and the hidden storage cane-front detail give it a surprisingly upscale look for the price point. Chairs feel solid and the compact design works well in apartments, breakfast nooks, or multipurpose rooms. The chairs required installation and I had a heck of a time getting the plastic (usually wood) dowels into the holes! This is embarrassing to say, but I literally put them in the freezer for awhile and then used a hammer to get them placed in the dowel hole, otherwise I couldn't get them in. Once I figured that out, it went fairly smoothly and for 2 chairs, it took me ~20 min. The color matches my walnut dining table well. They are comfortable and modern.
