She will curl up in it for hours and has since I took it out of the box. Her sister is terrified of the entire thing and avoids even being near it. I have no idea why. Beautiful cat tree, and my cat has grown to love it! He’s 7yo and about 14 pounds. I had two concerns while purchasing 1) how hard would it be to put together and 2) how sturdy would it be. It was relatively easy to put together with well marked parts and photo instructions. It has a very wide square base so I’m not longer worried about it tipping however, when my cat gets to the very top basket and is moving around it appears to shake quite a bit - enough to make me a little nervous. All the parts are sturdy and after 2 months of having it, I can confirm that it hasn’t tipped at all. I love this cat tree. This is excellent, nice looking and very solid. As other reviews have noted, it does require a power drill to secure the basket rims. Also, getting the top "tension rod" component assembled and in place was a bit tricky and required a ladder for 8-foot ceilings, but I was able to get it in place by myself, it looks great, and it's extremely sturdy. My cats (8-12 lbs) love it and I was happy I didn't have to drill into my walls or ceiling. This is a nice, sturdy, hefty two leveled cat perch with a lot of surface area for big kitties or the ones that like to share space. Nice carpet, not the thin stuff. Supportive pillars. My kitties love it. The threaded end that attaches the top piece to the base was damaged and would not thread in properly.
