Before this, I had a coir mat that was too small and it looked good for maybe three months. All the text and graphics rubbed off. Plus, it was discolored in places of heavy wear. Kinda gross. Ok, I know I’m not using these as your typical “kitchen mats”, but I meant to order black instead of grey, so I messed up. My kitchen is a mixture of “old world” Italian-ish colors …lovely greens, deep old reds, creams, tans, with lots of black accents, so I thought the black mats would be perfect. When I realized I’d gotten grey instead - and saw how insanely nice they are - I decided to use them on my enclosed balcony where I needed a bit of “edging coverage” at the doors anyway. Although this obviously isn’t the ideal place for them, these mats are extremely nice. They are indeed very thick, and they are SO comfortable to walk on. When I walk outside, they are so comfy on your feet that it feels like you’re stepping out onto a cloud! Love the color too since it matches my indoor/outdoor carpet. I hope to try the black another time, but if you’re looking for a top quality, extremely comfortable set of fatigue mats for your kitchen (or anywhere!), I would absolutely recommend this set!
