Overall the main bed frame has been solid - no shaking, which is what I was worried about. The headboard is another story, that part is not as well constructed so it's more decoration. It's also overall bigger that a Cal King mattress so there is an open space on either the top or bottom (picture), the sides are an exact fit. Since the frame is sturdy for, um, adult time, I'm glad we decided to save the money versus the much more expensive other stores! Really like this bed. It took about 2 hours to set up, but that was with us taking our time. The velvet is really nice and like how high up from the ground it is. I do think the headboard seemed like it would be higher from the photos but I think my mattress is bigger/higher than the one in the ad.
