Gas

I find the stove very attractive, easy to use, and so far have no great issues. The stove is quite good, but there are a few things which could be better or perhaps I just need to adapt to new ways. When the stovetop is hot, there is no indicator of which element is the culprit. Fine if you were the one using it, but ambiguous when you were not. My old stove had an array which indicated the location of hot element...I just have to adapt. Another modification, for which I will just have to readjust...is that it is hard to see if the elements are off by looking at the oven knobs, from afar. Yes, you can see if they are straight up and down...so it is likely they are off, but one time I thought the elements were off, and they were just at a low setting...so a more distinguishing feature for the off section of the knobs, aside from a thin indent, would be beneficial. The inside of the oven is very nice - love the blue and it seems that temperature controls are working well. However I do find the racks less sturdy than my old oven, and I miss the split rack, which allowed me to put taller containers in the oven. I like the double timer feature, where you can switch between hours and minutes quickly. I must say that I was shocked while reading the manual...top of page 6...that you felt the need to give the following advice : "Never attempt to dry a pet in the oven." This is my first stick vacuum, so I don't have anything to compare it to. I would give the suction 3 stars and the features 5 stars. I love the charging stand, I'm glad it doesn't have to go on the wall. It's also light and gets into corners easily. We replaced a 13 year old version of this range with this one today. Overall, it is great, BUT for some reason the time clock will not display consistently. The whole display goes blank when not in use. You have to physically touch the clock icon on the control panel to see the time. This is not mentioned in the manual, but my husband found other people complaining about the same thing. Supposedly, it's some kind of energy saver. Ha! We use this as a clock in the kitchen and I can't imagine it takes that much energy to run a clock. I guess it was a trade off that the oven light actually stays on when you open and close the door to check on a dish in the oven. We had to physically turn the oven light back on every time we opened and closed the door on our older version. Also, be sure you check all of the recommended settings for preheating and cooking on the griddle before using it and keep a pot holder handy because it may move around when you use a spatula to turn over something like a grilled cheese sandwich. The Refrigerator and freezer are well made for modern living. There's a European vibe to it. I like to cook and have a large family. For our needs, I think the size of both the fridge and freezer are lacking. For example, if we were having a party and catered food, a standard full size tray would not fit the depth of the refrigerator shleves. The icemaker works very well, but can overflow. Ice gets trapped behind the drawer and the door wont shut. We have to use an extension tool with claw to retrieve the ice. Nice piece, but it's really more of an institutional item and assumes that you are replacing an existing urinal or have framing in place to accommodate an install. Installing this in a dry-walled garage, for instance, will take some doing including cutting away drywall and add 2x4 supports.
