On "con" = we find we're having to be extra-careful not to drag heavy pots across the cooktop (as we'd gotten used to doing on the very rugged cast iron grate of our gas cooktop at home) - this induction cooktop surface definitely feels more "delicate" than our gas cooktop grate. You will not be receiving this product as pictured. The pictured item is the sensor probe for their commercial stream generators. The residential stream generator only comes with the probe, no metal housing/ grill. Mr. Stan expects you to put the probe within your grout....so not sure how this would work down the road if you ever needed to service or replace this probe...rip out your grout? Also, you'd need to consider your spacing in your grout where you'd be placing this probe. Wish I knew ahead of ordering and then requesting replacement which arrived like the first, no housing/grill. The product arrived late due to "weather" however there was no weather issues along the route. Once it arrived the package was severely damaged. There were loose screws floating around and the styrofoam used to support hood was busted and no longer protecting the unit. We have not installed the unit yet to see if it functions but there were minor metal pieces bent. The pieces bent looking salvageable so hopefully it works once installed.
