Had we gone with the 13" we wouldn't have to touch up paint around it, but I also like that they aren't that noticeable and something bigger might have been too obtrusive as this is just a small rectangle between multiple rooms. The previous mirrors had poor glass and plain gray round frames. These are a great upgrade, and easy to install. The quality of the glass is good - no distortion. I would have given 5 stars if the control pad had been located off to the side instead of right in the bottom front. The control buttons stay lit all the time. This makes for a nice night light if you want it, but if you don't want them on, you need to have the mirror hooked up to a light switch, rather than just being plugged into an outlet.
