Due to the size of it and repackaging and returning it, we opted to put it together. The assembly went smoothly and directions were great. The crack is not visible (only from the inside) and we are thrilled with all the elements of this storage unit. The resin is so wood like realistic and durable, and it looks smart and classy. The enclosure cover snaps up in place, so no fear of bending inside and having it fall on you. The assembly was easy, took my husband about 25 minutes from start to finish per box with interruptions from the kiddos. The second box was missing the assembly hardware but Wayfair was fantastic and very quickly rectified the situation.
