I must agree with the only other review, the cooling fan is very loud and high pitched. I do like the layout of the burners. This stove replaces another LG which the glass broke after 11 months. Excellent sharpener for both Japanese and Western knives. It includes a comprehensive owner's manual that I encourage you to read. The manual explains how to sharpen until you get a burr, how to feel for the burr, and how to treat Japanese and Western knives differently.
