Beautiful terracotta base. A substantial lamp that is full of earthy character. The shade didn't work for me though. Felt too big, and because I have the lamp sitting on a side table in our sunken living room, you could see too much of the inside and the bulb. I realized I needed an empire shade instead of a drum, so I had to spend the extra money to purchase a different shade. But I'm happy with the purchase overall. Note that you can see a "seam" (one on each side) where the potter put the two pieces together I assume. I like it and think it adds to the character, but others may not.. Andrea. I love this little lamp. It was wrapped really well and I received it in great condition. It was smaller than I had anticipated, so I placed a tissue box next to it in the photo so you can get a sense of its real size. The one thing I would say is when you are assembling the shade, the seam is a little thick where the sides meet so you’ll wanna make sure that is in the back. It’s a stylish, modern farmhouse look.
