This container presents the chickens with an easy way to get feed. I put organic laying pellets on one side and organic scratch feed on the other side. Waste is eliminated by the fact that the birds pick the feed inside the box. They like to peck through the feed while eating. I put this box in the coop so I did not have to protect it from the elements. I did put a piece of plastic on the top because they often roost on it. I think this is a decent rooster for my chickens. I like the design but the metal is rather cheap. We haven’t been able to get it to stand straight since we put it together. The metal is easy to bend. I don’t think I would purchase this again, but it will work for now.
