Or is there is rust or corrosion on the coils? Then you may need to replace the surface element itself. The product supplies the heat to a cooking area on top of the electric range. This element has temperature-limiting capabilities to reduce the risk of cooktop oil and grease fires. The number one reason for household fires is cooking-related, so retrofitting with this safety surface element makes sense on a lot of levels. Us regulations require all new coil top ranges to have temperature limiting capabilities. This retrofit replacement element has a silver medallion with a button (sensor) in the center of the coil. This button must contact the bottom of the pan for the thermostat to sense the temperature properly. When the thermostat detects a pan temperature above the safe limit, the element will shut off automatically until a lower, safe pan temperature is reached, then heat will resume to the element. This will not affect everyday cooking, as automatic shutoff is temporary and only happens at very high temperatures.

Glass cooktops use a thermal limiter switch to protect against overheating by shutting down power to the element should it become too hot. When the limiter on these elements fails it will usually totally prevent the element from heating and the element needs to be replaced. If this is happening to your glass cooktop, the dual radiant heat element is an exact replacement for the Electrolux part with the same number.

A suspension kit from ERP supports the washer tub and keeps it stable during unbalanced loads. Your suspension kit might have to be replaced if the washer is making a loud banging sound during the washing cycle and/or is shaking or vibrating noticeably. Sometimes the washer will vibrate excessively if the washer is not leveled properly. Check that all leveling legs are in contact properly with the floor. Always replace all 4 suspension rods at the same time. Even though some of the rods may appear to be good, it is important that the spring tension be equal. The spring on a used suspension rod will be worn.

Before ordering a replacement valve, check to make sure the inlet is not plugged. Unplug the washer and shut off the water valves. Use a bucket to catch any water in the hose when you disconnect it from the washer. Inspect the screens at the inlets of the valve. This is also a good time to inspect the hose to make sure it is in good condition as a hose burst could result in significant water damage to your home.

Your radiant heat element might have to be replaced if it does not heat when energized by the control or the coils or terminals are damaged. Be sure to disconnect the power either at the breaker box or by unplugging the stove. You may need a stick to prop up the cooktop surface. The radiant elements are held in place by a bracket that you will need to remove. Before removing the radiant element from the bracket, mark the holes being used to hold the element. These brackets are often used on multiple models and may have many mounting holes.
