I bought a PVC gable bracket. It took me over 2 weeks to get it. When I opened the box, it was made out of pressed wood. And the white paint on it was see-through, so I had to buy a can of paint and brush to finish the piece. Plus, with wood, I’ll have to keep painting it. Very, very annoyed. The square post, a timeless style is expanded cellular PVC for quick and virtually maintenance-free! Classic craftsman series posts are not prone to the same environmental damage as real wood, such as splitting or cracking. Their E-Z Lock joints will not separate due to disproportionate changes in panel dimensions. When 2 coats of acrylic latex paint are applied, classic craftsman series posts will deliver years of service as promised against rot, corrosion, and moisture damage.

Amazing...I grappled with buying these columns for 2 years, because of the non-refundable policy, so I had to be sure. I have a small porch so I knew I couldnt get the columns to wide or the proportions would look odd. So I used makeshift cardboard and the like to determine what to buy...I made the best decision with the 5.63 width columns they look amazing. My contractor bought 5 wood post from our local big box store and used brackets to install them on the porch. He used his nail gun to fasten each wrap to the wood post, he said it was rather simple to install. Next he caulked all the small nail gun holes and painted ( per instructions for winter protection) looks amazing. Urethane faux wood shutters stay true to authentic wood by not only having a wood grain, but also by having the ability to be either gel-stained or painted. Longevity of this faux wood material is priceless, without sacrificing the real wood appearance of the shutters.

Purchased the Riverwood style. Painted them but have not installed yet. They arrived primed, but primer is tacky…sticky. I have had to put 2 heavy coats of paint on them. Still painting…waiting for paint coats to dry and not be sticky either. Only concern is the shutters are not as sturdy as I expected (why the 4 stars) and hoping during installation they will not be damaged.
