I bought two of these corbels. I painted them with acrylics, in 3 layers ( espresso bean in the deep areas, khaki over the remaining surfaces, and lightly dry brushed onto the espresso bean, then lightly dry brushed on a snow white. Finally sprayed with a clear sealant. They are gorgeous! (If you plan to stain them you need to test it where it will not show first. The medallion arrived on time and was well-packaged, arriving in good condition. Overall, it looks nice and should work well for my project. Our ceiling medallion collections are modeled after original historical patterns and designs. Our artisans then hand carve an original piece. Being hand carved each piece is richly detailed with deep relief, sharp lines, and a truly unique touch. That masterpiece is then used to create a mold master. Once the mold master is created we use our high-density urethane foam to form each medallion. The finished look is a beautifully detailed, lightweight, solid construction, focal piece. The resemblance to original plaster medallions is achieved only by using our high-density urethane and not vacuum-formed, "plastic" type medallions. Medallions are lightweight for easy installation and come primed and ready for paint. These are in stock and available for immediate shipment.
