All the weight is taken by two small discs screws tot he side walls, and you will need to glue these as well as screw them otherwise they spin when you try to screw the adjoining pieces to them. This glass was perfect for my exact space! I did a self install and I'll say that you have to be extra careful with the corners, glass can still break just touching a hard surface in the corners so always have it resting on stacked cardboard before final placements..
