Installed the door today. It goes together different than most pocket doors so the #of hours paid to the carpenter was more than usual. The frames are very flimsy but I used Johnson's Reinforcing Clips and 5/8" plywood which fixed that and I do any ways. The slow close is pretty nice. I paid for the Wayfair/Angi Install Service which was a scam and a total waste. The installer said that Wayfair wasn't paying them enough so they didn't even want to drive to my house LOL. Soooo I think I saw that it was white and assumed it was painted and ready to go, but it does need to be painted. It is primed, but if you look at the closeup you can see it is unfinished. Needs a light sanding and paint. It is beautiful though. I ordered a barn door from Wayfair from a different maker and it came fully boxed, whereas this one came wrapped in bubble wrap and plastic and had boxing only at the top and bottom and was missing the rail to mount it. The first door I ordered was damaged in transit and it didn’t even make it to me before being returned to Wayfair. A couple weeks after I ordered it, I messaged Wayfair and they went ahead and ordered a replacement that was here in 2 days. Always choose Wayfair for their incredible customer service. The door is beautiful and not a farm house type of look like I was worried, it’s more classy and adds a lot of charm and texture. It’s not overly heavy, pretty straightforward to put up.. Jennifer. It wasn’t the easiest thing to install but it also wasn’t the hardest. You have to do every single thing because it’s customizable to which way you want it to open. Delivery was quick, packaging was good. Price was also good. We built the frame in a couple of hours one afternoon. Once we got the hinges set it was fairly easy to install. This is a nice metal door so I expect it will hold up through the Pennsylvania winters. Love the six panel style, it looks great. Just need to finish the trim and maybe paint it a nice bright color.. The door came broken with shattered glass but customer service was just awesome. We ordered the same door because we love the look and hopefully it will come in tact.
