It arrived safely and without any issues. It is a medium-sized extraction fan; it does not include any lighting. I hooked it up, and—compared to others—it is quite quiet. You can hear it, of course, but the sound is not loud. It is quite powerful, and the metal base looks sturdy; however, it does not include the hose for venting moisture outdoors.. Jess. FL. This is a great vent fan, higher powered than what we had, and it really pulls the moisture out of the bathroom. It's a little louder than what we were used to but it makes great white noise for the bedroom on the other side of the wall.. Amanda. Chico, CA. Sat May 16 2026

This humidity sensing exhaust bath fan, energy star offers easy, room-side installation, with “No Attic Access Required”. Ceiling mounted ventilation fan features foldable mounting ears and EZ Duct connector for easy installation. New duct damper technology provides a tighter seal, resulting in reduced warm and cold air backdrafts. The humidity sensing feature will automatically turn the fan on when a preset level has been reached, thus allowing for proper ventilation throughout the room.

This is a nice fan!!! The description is not accurate, it has no light. It was not a surprise for me because I got a description from the Broan site using the fan's code AE50110DCS. I had AE50110DC and wanted to replace it with an automatic fan that turns on automatically when humidity is high and works for a specific period of time (it has a timer, a duration is up to 60 min). The fan allows the user to select a speed 50, 80 or 110 CFM. My previous fan (AE50110DC) had a permanent speed of 110. AE50110DCS at 110 makes the same level of noise as AE50110DC at 110. AE50110DCS at 80 is a little bit quieter, just a little bit. Therefore, I selected the speed 50 CFM which is really quiet for me. I set a humidity selector at 70% and a timer at 60 min. I know that for a 4PC bathroom the speed of 50 CFM is not enough but I keep a door to the bathroom open all the time and the fan will run for 60 minutes, then check humidity again and start a new 60-min cycle if humidity is above 70%. I guess it should be enough, time will show. I had a choice to buy a bigger Panasonic fan which is as quiet at 110 CFM as this fan at 50 CFM, but decided to use a fan with the same dimensions as my old one. In spite of the fact that this fan turns on automatically you may turn it on manually if necessary - turn a switch on, then off and on again.. Alexander. Kitchener, ON. Mon Nov 06 2023

Nice and heavy. Haven’t installed it yet, but can’t wait. Will be a nice addition to my basement bathroom. Will probably get an electrician to take care of this one. Herman. Dorset, VT. Tue Jul 14 2026

This high-capacity fan is an exceptionally quiet solution to continuous ventilation. With its heavy-duty motor, the high-capacity fan is an ideal solution for conference rooms, public restrooms, and other areas in commercial buildings that require ongoing ventilation. Low-vibration and lo-profile, they work quietly without getting noticed.

I have purchased 3 of these and they are excellent ! I installed 2 in our RV garage and later the other one in our 200 sq ft kitchen. What I have come to understand is, if you get the right amount of them in the area you need it , it will create it's own atmospheric conditions. For instance in our kitchen I can get a nice breeze on a calm day! In the garage, we now have a breezeway into the house through the laundry room! I can't imagin why anybody would go less than 700 cfm... Ole_robby. Lake Havasu City , AZ. Fri Mar 08 2024

3rd times a charm! Finally made the right choice buying Panasonic after 2 other fans being installed. This fan does exactly what it’s expected to do. Only negative in my opinion is there is a delay in the fan working when it’s turned on. Not a big deal but I’d like it to turn on when I flick the switch.. Lisa. Valley Stream, NY. Tue Jun 02 2020
