To measure your size correctly, remove the existing vent cover and measure the size of the duct. The duct opening size is what should be ordered. The Ribbon grille is a resin (polyurethane) decorative vent cover that is light in weight yet sturdy and strong. Grilles are unfinished and ready for you to primer and paint to achieve the perfect color for your setting. Each grille is made using a casting process that allows for a three-dimensional look. Grilles will not rust and are not prone to corrosion which makes them excellent for high-humidity areas and dry areas alike. Ribbon grilles are flat on the back and have no inserts. Grilles should not be used on the floor and are only for wall and ceiling applications for central air conditioning and heating systems. Due to the nature of the curing process, grilles can vary very slightly in size so please take the measurements as an approximate size. All grilles should be installed using the provided screws to ensure a safe application. Please note, that these grilles are intended to be primed/painted and will come in an off-white beige color.

Equipped with a spring-loaded backdraft damper and bird screen to keep nests and small animals on the outside. The wall cap is made of 22 gauge crack steel construction with a black electrically-bonded epoxy finish for durability and long life. Sold as 1 to a carton.

This was the only vent cap that I could find with 6" round ducting, for use with my Air Exchanger input. Although it worked, with some difficulty and modification, I wish it were made of plastic instead of heavy duty aluminum. Made by Imperial these baseboard grills are full steel with a gloss white powder coat that will resist scuffs. The 7/8" turnback insures these baseboard grills come out from the wall almost a full inch so they look great next to all baseboard styles. The box unit its ideal for ¾” thick hardwood floors but it can be custom to the thickness you need. It can be nailed in place on top of the duct opening and the wood floor installation cut around the box. The decorative metal vent is held in the box unit by magnets, making it easily removable from the box when needed. The box unit can also be stained at the same time as the floor to make it a seamless, Invisible look. The installation can be done while the floor is being installed, or you can router out your hardwood floors around the opening if they have already been installed. With the included wooden support box installed around the duct opening, the decorative magnetic metal vent 1/16” thickness will drop in place. Gable vents work to provide ventilation, releasing stagnant air, preventing damage from humidity, and optimizing temperature control. Gable vents are particularly useful during the summer months when hot air rises and is trapped in the attic, where it can transfer itself down through the ceiling and back into the level below, decreasing the effectiveness of air conditioning systems A gable vent is located at the attic area, commonly on the exterior wall where the two planes of a sloping roof join, forming a triangle. The gable can be any symmetrical shape, but the triangle is among the most common. Other vent shapes include rectangles, steeples, circles, and octagons. Gable vents are fitted with horizontal ventilation slats called louvers. You can add a mesh screen to be placed behind the vent. This allows air to circulate while keeping outside elements where they belong. A gable mounted ventilator helps to push air through the louvers. The ventilator removes air from the attic through the use of turbines or fans. The gable ventilator commonly requires no carpentry, as it is mounted on the interior of the wall behind the gable, however, electrical installation is required.
