I purchased a 10 foot and an 8‘ x 10 pergola. We put them side-by-side and we have created a beautiful area which will be a setting area and a hot tub area. At first I was super upset when I got my packages. They were not handled as written on the box and had several puncture marks on them. I realize this isn’t a fault of Wayfair but they should be aware of the condition of packaging. All of my packages were delivered standing upright instead of flat. Despite a piece of wood being bent and the roof tin having a few dents it still went to together just fine. I did it myself, female. It took me 3 total days. Half a day to organize things and almost 2 12 to build it. No regrets at all. Just pay CLOSE attention to directions as you go so you don’t have to go back and fix anything. I made sure I wouldn’t have to. Good luck! No leaks or anything so far. Will have to be cautious in winter as ice will probably slide right off. Overall very happy with the results!. Jill. Kentucky. Put together by myself in about 13 hours, from unboxing to last screw, not extremely handy but a decent DIY'er. I did needed about 10 minutes of help from my wife to align the brace supports from the posts to the frame. The most annoying part was taking all the plastic off the metal roof panels (Tip: Don't try to do this if the panels are too cold or too hot, you will be tearing off small pieces). Out of all the material I would say the roofing panels look good but are very thin, the framing structure is quite sturdy to brace the panels but wouldn't want much snow to build up on it, as I can see the panels sagging under the weight.. Arrived incredibly fast! It was really easy to put together. It took me about 2 hours to assemble the base by myself, and then my daughter and nephew helped with the top. That part took a little longer (thanks to a few snack and break interruptions ), but the total active assembly time was about 6 to 6½ hours. It’s already held up through some heavy rain and high winds here in the Chicago area—and that was before we even anchored it to the concrete. So far, I’m absolutely loving it.
