We’ve actually purchased this bed frame twice this year! We first bought the queen size for ourselves and were very happy with it. A couple of months later, we decided to upgrade to a king-size bed, so we gave the queen frame to our son and purchased the exact same bed frame again in king size. We love the quality. It’s made from solid wood, feels sturdy and well-made. It works with our new 16-inch-high mattress and adjustable base, although the headboard does look a little short with such a tall mattress and base. That’s something to keep in mind if you have a similar setup. Overall, we’re very happy with this bed frame. The fact that we liked it enough to buy it twice says it all. We’re slowly updating our bedroom furniture and decided to start with the piece that would make the most impact - the bed! Overall, love it. It’s simple, which is exactly what we were looking for. The way the slats work with the Velcro and screwing directly into the two support beams ensures everything is even and the mattress will be properly supported. The under bed clearance is perfect, just enough to store things but not so high that you can see a bunch of under bed storage bins. The way the side rails connect to the footboard and the headboard is a great idea in theory, but the execution is poor. The metal connectors fit into the slots, but they’re don’t push down and lock in like the directions state they should. We had to get a mallet and really whack it to get all four corners to lock in. Even after the fact, one of them still didn’t lock it super well. So I recommend after you get everything assembled and placed in your room where you want it, get after it with a mallet again on all four corners. Also be sure to cover the bed frame with a towel before using the mallet. A triple folded bath towel was perfect, and left no indents on the bed frame. Overall, I’d buy this bed frame again! This bed looks beautiful and is solid as a rock. Everytime I walk in the room I get so happy that I purchased this. It definitely a little darker than some of the pictures on the website and less of a red tone than I expected but I actually like it better. I paired it with rosy night stands and Langley dressers and everything came together so nicely. The delivery experience was great as well. Very nice guys. Fast and efficient as well. Gorgeous bed! Had a few issues with a board that didn't fit, but Wayfair offered us a discount if my husband drilled a hole or offered to send a replacement part. The frame is more beautiful in person. It was a little darker in color than I hoped but still worked with my existing furniture. The look of the bed frame itself is great, and the color of the headboard fabric and the frame's wood, appeared true to the photos in the listing. The bed gets a slight hit due to the time and work to put it together. For a one person job it took about 4 hours to put together, and much of that comes from the need to drill all the holes for the slats, as you'll be drilling in to the bed frame itself, and you'll want to predrill those holes (and make sure you don't over drill as it's very possible to break through the bottom and expose the sharp bottom end of the screw. The tolerances around some of the screws and holes that are predrilled are also very tight, and getting the plastic washers on isn't the easiest. So make sure to have a power drill, appropriate drill bits, and a Phillips head bit, or else this bed could take you upwards of 5 to 6 hours to put together.. Richard. Jersey City, NJ.
