The bronze color is a rich matte finish brown. I am 64 yo and was able to build it by myself. It did take a while (NOT 1.5 hours for me) and as another reviewer said, pushing all those plastic pieces in was rough on the hands ! It does seem very sturdy though. Well built, not flimsy at all. Don't tighten anything at all until everything is together - leave it really loose. Had to go back and loosen at first for more flexibility in connecting. 8" mattresses coming tomorrow - $99 deal each so the whole thing will be less than $500 for my grandchildren when they visit so they no longer have to bring sleeping bags or camp out on the floor ! I'd show you after the bedding is on but I'll prob forget so here it is....for now. Wendy. Ocean, NJ. Thu Oct 15 2026

These beds work well for guests in my extra bedroom. One of the slats broke the second time it was used but Wayfair sent a new set of slats and it has held up so far. When I received it and put it together it had a big stain on the headboard. Not sure what it is but it looks soiled. I called Wayfair and they gave me a portion of my money back. I was happy with that because the stain remover that I had to buy was costly. I used it and it worked to a point. The stain wasn’t as dark. I could use pillows to cover it. Other than that, the day bed is nice.. Mary. US. Mon Jun 08 2026
