I have a very small patio and it gets so much sun I rarely use it. This was a good solution. I did add curtains (with velcro tabs) and some lights. Theres ONE tricky part when assembling, the part where the legs go into the frame have a slight slant, if theyre not in the correct corners, the legs go every which way! I like it! I did 90% of the assembly alone. You need help putting on legs. Putting on snow load supports is a little tricky alone, they are tight. I only attached 8 bunges cords before I put on legs so I could work in the shade. I had to stand on a step stool for sides and used a 6' ladder for peaks. I live on the coast so I used 12 tie downs. The standard 8 (one I had to just go straight down, no room) and 2 each in the interior front and back. I used screw in type supports and 550 paracord and cinch knotted on the inside supports. I used 1/8" wire and turnbuckles on outside supports. I put 1 1/2" PVC over exteror supports to protect people and pets from running into/hurting themselves. I also think it will be easier for yard trimmer. I would love to say it took me 3 hours but in reality it took me most of the day. This is a really heavy duty and robust storage shed. It takes a bit to put together, but that may have been because we were assembling it between a tree and our fence-line where there was just barely enough space for the shed. Overall, it was not bad to put together as the assembly process is pretty straightforward. The steel poles are very stout and strong. I really don't see the wind taking this shed anywhere, especially if you stake it down. Plenty of stakes and some concrete anchors are included. There are ratchet straps at all four corners. These straps help to tighten and cinch down the outer cover around the covers for the doors at each end. This aspect is a really nice design as it tightens the cover around the door openings to help keep out the elements. The cover material seems pretty robust and can be tightened down with a lot of tension, so even in heavy winds you won't get any flapping or movement of the cover. We bought this shed for garden tool and supply storage in our backyard. Overall, we have been really pleased with it. I had installers handle the installation and other than some challenges with drilling it into my cement pad, it seemed to go fine. It certainly looks nice, however, there is no way to affix mosquito netting/screen to it due to the width/square shape of the rim around the top edge. This retractable pergola would have been the perfect solution in my damaged patio enclosure way back 2010. The issue I initially had is the color of the canopy. The color of the canopy is dark gray that is close to black which is as I see in the photo looks is lighter. The reply to my wish to switch this canopy turns disappointing because this is the only one they have. I had it already installed by my paid installer so no way I can return the whole item. I like the materials all in all.. Heavy and strong. I cannot move the box compared to the first one that I ordered in other store which I did not even open because I can tell by the weight of the item shipped. That is the reason why I still make a 4 star review and I accepted the 10% refund to use as remedy and buy a fabric paint that will make the canopy water proof . Water leaks when it rains. I still love this because of being retractable and really fits half of my patio enclosure that has still the screened structure around intact even without the roof that was damaged by the snow storm in 2010. I use my patio as my workshop room and growing plants . I will be buying another one to complete the whole enclosure project.
