The chicken coop is a great product, perfect for beginners and experienced chicken owners alike! The construction was straightforward and the instructions were easy to follow. It took about 4 hours to build. It would be perfect for a backyard. The run is small so I wouldn’t have more than 6-10 chickens if you’re not planning to free range. We will free range so I would be comfortable housing more in there. It is convenient height for collecting eggs and cleaning out waste. Okay! SO- first time chicken owner here. We live in Maryland and are raising chicks and ducks from babies. We live in the woods and therefore have a ton of natural predators. The coop on its own is not SUPER sturdy, but not the worst quality I have seen and works well for a yard that slopes. There are some gaps, so we enclosed the top and bottom with hardware mesh stapled into the wood and secured with cement blocks just to be sure everything would be safe, and so far so good! The cover seems like it will be reasonable for the raincolder temps. Used Wayfair assembly service, which was good but it did take 3 men four hours to assemble just FYI. Overall, happy!. Anonymous. I made quite a few modifications to make this coop more useful. I used strong magnets across the top so we could reach into the run. Great starter coop! We ended up stapling chicken wire around the entire outside for extra protection and also added a second latch to the bottom of the door. Impressed with the amount of roosting space plus ground space. I plan on redoing the latches on the roosting boxes as they aren’t the strongest and predators “could” get in or my chickens could get out. We did have missing pieces to 4 of the latches and had to go buy some. The packages arrived quickly and in good condition. The components are heavyweight and seem to be of good quality. I have given it four stars based on the quality of the components. I am currently dealing with some issues with my back and I am unable to assemble it at this time I will update this review once I have gotten it put together 52026 UPDATE I finally hired a contractor to put the coop together and at first it seemed a bit flimsy just at the joints but once the wire was completely attached and the shades put on it is nice and sturdy. I really like this run! If you don’t over stretchpull the chicken wire, you can get it nice and taught without waves and sags. I cut the chicken wire in 21 foot lengths, so that there was plenty on the outside bottom for cinder blocks or something to weight everything down. Vents allow airflow to reduce moisture to keep your chicken house dry & avoid sickness. With a sliding door and handle, it is possible to close the sleeping area entrance from outside the coop.

All timbers are T&G planned to avoid splintering. This chicken coop house is designed with a living space for sleeping, and an attached run for more activities. All joints are mortise and tenon design. The spray wire is solid and Non-toxic in case your animals like to chew.
